VOLIA Industrial Park will unite three locations that will specialize in individual stages of production and promotion of products of its residents.
A center of production and innovation will be built in Vinnytsia. This is where new product developments will make their way from development and prototyping to mass production. Another component of the park will be a grain cluster in Ivano-Frankivsk and a logistics center in borderline Hrushev. This is where Ukrainian food developments will fall before a consolidated export to foreign markets.
“This structure of the industrial park allows any of its residents to use the competences of other residents, without the need to build new infrastructure. Thus, there is a production synergy that increases the efficiency of the entire park”,
— explains Boris Shestopalov, shareholder of HD Group and GFS. He became the initiator and ideologue of the creation of the park.
VOLIA residents will be assisted by a team of professionals to master the theory and practice of the latest food production. In addition to Boris Shestopalov, the management team of U PARKS, which will manage the park, includes: the founder of the brands EPI KUR and EPI HEPI, shareholder of Vladimir-Volyn poultry farm Alex Kovalenko, strategist and futurologist, CEO of Advanter Group Andriy Dliradi and Valeriy Kirilko, CEO of IMC, which specializes in the development of industrial parks.
THE STRUCTURE OF THE INDUSTRIAL PARK ALLOWS ANY OF ITS RESIDENTS TO USE THE COMPETENCES OF OTHER RESIDENTS, WITHOUT THE NEED TO BUILD NEW INFRASTRUCTURE
“At the core of our team are carriers of the necessary expertise. For example, my companies have long been leaders in the production of flour, cereals and flakes. The directions of food tech are also increasing. Alex is the first to launch mass production of organic chicken — without antibiotics and more. Last year he was recognized as a leader of change according to the Union of Entrepreneurs of Ukraine. Andriy is an economic futurologist N1 in Ukraine. Author of new economic programs for the government”,
— Boris Shestopalov introduced his partners during his speech in Lugano.
VOLIA, as an ambitious project that can make Ukraine one of the leaders of the food market, was supported by both the authorities and business circles. VOLIA partners were the Ukrainian Ministries of Agrarian Policy and Food, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development, as well as UkraineInvest, a government office for attracting and supporting investments.
At the regional level, the project was supported by the municipalities of Vinnytsia and Lviv. On the part of foreign organizations, UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization - Ed) became a partner of the project, and UMG investmens expressed its commitment to the project among business organizations.
PRODUCTION CONVENIENCE AND EFFICIENCY WILL ENHANCE THE ECONOMIC ADVANTAGES OF THE INDUSTRIAL PARK
Production convenience and efficiency will enhance the economic benefits of the industrial park. For example, last month, the corporate tax for parks was abolished. This, in turn, will affect the cost of production of park residents. As a result, the end consumer will receive the finished product at lower prices, but without loss to the manufacturer. Such a competitive advantage will be very timely for those producers who want to take advantage of the opportunity of “opening” the European market and establish exports.
“The Ukrainian word VOLIA, which is used in our name, is very strong. It means at the same time both freedom and strength in pursuit of the goal.”
— says Boris Shestopalov.
